Meet Liz
Liz Dickson retired from the board in 2018. Liz joined the Auxiliary in May 2002, volunteering at the Information Desk and later becoming the chair of this category. She also volunteered at the Thrift Shop and was its category chair. In 2007, she accepted the role of Auxiliary vice president. She was president for two years in 2008-2009 and, again, in 2011-2012. At present, Liz is a director on both the Lions Gate Hospital Auxiliary Board and the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation Board. She is also responsible for organizing the Auxiliary AGM Recognition Awards and for coordinating and purchasing for the Auxiliary’s Clothing Cupboard program, which provides assistance to patients in need who are discharged from Lions Gate Hospital. Liz enjoys volunteering and finds it very rewarding to contribute to the North Vancouver community in which she grew up, married, raised her family, and has made her home.
