Meet Tim
Tim Sader sees volunteering as an enriching way to connect with others, learn and grow skills, and help build a sense of community. Beginning as an Auxiliary visiting volunteer at Evergreen House in 2005, he became a category chair, newsletter editor, Board member and, in 2012, the Auxiliary’s first male president. He was also the newsletter editor for the B.C. Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries and served a term as BCAHA’s Director of Communications. Tim encourages other volunteers to consider a Board position or committee role. They, too, will feel the reward and good cheer that comes with this opportunity. Outside of his volunteering, Tim is an avid traveler and lifelong learner. In his youth, a semester off from university turned into a two-year world trek. In recent years, he’s driven across Canada and much of the States, explored Iceland and taken a Baltic cruise. More such adventures, he hopes, await.
