Meet Telsey
Telsey Shroff retired from the board in 2018. In 2000, Telsey Shroff immigrated to Canada from India and settled in Vancouver with her family. Having worked with her husband in the shipping industry in India, they decided to pursue business opportunities here in Canada as well. With an interest in education, Telsey chose the education franchise business. In her early years, she passed the Cambridge University (UK) Board’s school exams and later completed her BA in Arts and Psychology at the distinguished University of Mumbai (formerly University of Bombay). Sports played an important role in her youth and enabled her to take on the positions of Secretary for two sports committees, and Director of Entertainment and Sports Director of a recreational organization. After retiring from their education business five years ago, Telsey became interested in volunteering and has enjoyed helping out at several nonprofit organizations on the North Shore. She joined the Auxiliary Thrift Shop in 2013 and accepted the position of Secretary of the Lions Gate Hospital Auxiliary in 2017. Telsey and her husband have two children and three grandchildren in Canada and the U.S.
