Meet Elaine
Elaine Schretlen has over 30 years of experience in the health services industry and holds a BA in Child Care and a Diploma of General Nursing from BCIT. She has worked as a Child Care Counsellor and as a Registered Nurse. Since 2000, Elaine has been the president and/or vice president of her condominium strata council. In 2013, she joined the Lions Gate Hospital Auxiliary and in 2014 became a Buyer for the Dogwood Shop. In 2017, she became Co-Chair of the Dogwood Shop with Trudy Galpin, and a director on the Auxiliary Board. In 2018, membership of a small, local Credit Union (GVC) voted Elaine onto the Board of Directors. She serves the membership in this capacity and is finding it a rewarding and educational experience. These roles have been challenging, interesting and also very rewarding. Elaine’s hobbies include sewing, cross-stitching, and knitting with Henry, her feline assistant.
