Emergency

The Emergency department volunteers provide a much-appreciated service to patients, visitors and staff. These volunteers interact with patients and visitors, and help reduce their anxiety by informing them about the Emergency department process. Volunteers also give comfort to those patients waiting for assessment and assist with wayfinding by taking visitors to the correct hospital department. Sixteen Emergency volunteers contributed 1,322 hours.
